Grape Bubblegum (27.472% THCa) – Premium THCa Flower
Grape Bubblegum is a THCa flower strain that we carry on our Sativa shelf, grown in living soil and testing at 27.472% THCa with 28.589% total cannabinoids. Its standout is the terpene content: 3.60% total terpenes, higher than any of our September Top Shelf batches. The profile is limonene-dominant at 1.28%, with an unusually high 0.44% linalool, which gives it a bright, sweet, grape-candy-and-citrus nose with a soft floral finish.
Overview
Grape Bubblegum is grown here in living soil. This batch tests at 27.472% THCa, 24.330% total THC and 28.589% total cannabinoids, with Δ9-THC at 0.237% and total CBD at a trace 0.039%. Minor cannabinoids include CBGa 0.389%, CBCa 0.220%, THCVa 0.108%, CBG 0.067%, CBDa 0.045%, CBC 0.025%, CBDVa 0.015% and CBDV 0.012%.
The terpene panel is where this batch stands out. Total terpenes come in at 3.60%: limonene 1.28% (36% of the profile), trans-caryophyllene 0.52% (14%), β-myrcene 0.48% (13%), linalool 0.44% (12%) and ocimene 0.27% (7%). Below those are menthol 0.19%, β-pinene 0.13%, α-humulene 0.12%, α-pinene 0.11%, camphene 0.03% and terpinolene 0.03%. Linalool at 0.44% is high for flower and is a big part of what makes this batch smell the way it does.
How it lines up with the strain’s reputation. Licensed-market producers selling the most widely distributed Grape Bubblegum (the Phylos Bioscience cross, sold by brands including Curio, RYTHM and Lume) report the same signature: limonene first, linalool second or close behind. This batch fits that pattern closely, and its 3.60% total is well above the roughly 1.9% the breeder lists as typical. The 0.19% menthol in this batch does not appear in any published Grape Bubblegum profile and is specific to this harvest.

Aroma and Flavor
The nose is sweet and bright. The 1.28% limonene gives it a sharp citrus-and-candy lift, and the 0.44% linalool layers in a soft floral, almost lavender sweetness that reads as grape candy. Ocimene at 0.27% adds a green, fruity sweetness, and 0.19% menthol gives it a faint cool edge. Underneath, 0.52% trans-caryophyllene and 0.12% α-humulene add a light peppery spice, and the 0.48% myrcene adds an earthy, slightly musky base.
On the palate: sweet grape and citrus on the draw, a candy-like sweetness through the middle, and a floral, lightly spiced finish. Licensed-market descriptions of Grape Bubblegum consistently mention grape, berry and floral notes, and reviewers often describe grape on the inhale with a sweet bubblegum note on the exhale. Purple coloring is commonly reported for the strain.
Effects and Usage
A straight answer on classification. We shelve this batch with our Sativas, but you should know that the public record for Grape Bubblegum does not. The breeders and licensed producers call it a hybrid, and some versions sold under the name are described as indica-dominant. No published source calls Grape Bubblegum a sativa. We placed it on the Sativa shelf because of how this batch presents: a limonene-led, high-terpene profile with an upbeat, mood-lifting character rather than a heavy, sedating one.
In practice, expect a balanced, upbeat experience: a happy, mood-lifting onset from the limonene, settling into an easygoing, relaxed body feel. The breeder describes the effects as relaxing, functional and relieving, and dispensary data on CannMenus describes it as uplifting. Linalool and myrcene are both conventionally associated with calmer, more relaxed presentations, so this is not a racy or wired sativa. It works well for afternoons, social time, unwinding without checking out, and creative downtime. At 27.472% THCa, start small if you are new to this potency band.
Strain Background
Grape Bubblegum is not a single strain. At least three unrelated cultivars are sold under the name, and our supplier has not documented which line this cut comes from, so we are not going to claim one as fact. Here is what the record shows:
- Phylos Bioscience version — (CakeMints × Platinum GSC) × GelatoGMO, released as feminized F1 seed and the version most licensed producers sell. Phylos classifies it as a hybrid with a limonene-and-linalool terpene profile. This batch’s chemistry matches this version most closely.
- Verano version — GMO × Purple Punch, an in-house cultivar sold under Verano’s brands. Its published profile is limonene, myrcene and caryophyllene, with no linalool. Reviewers usually describe it as sedating and indica-leaning.
- Deep Ellum Seed Co. version — (Bubblegum × Dallas Grape) S1 from a Dallas breeder, first crossed in 2016 and described as mostly indica. No terpene data is published.
The public record for Grape Bubblegum is thin. There is no Leafly strain page and no AllBud entry. SeedFinder lists only the Deep Ellum version, and Weedmaps lists all three under one name. We ground everything on this page in our own lab results.
Awards. We found no Cannabis Cup or other competition win for Grape Bubblegum under any version. The classic Bubble Gum strain has a well-known cup history, but it is a parent only in the Deep Ellum version, and its awards don’t transfer to this strain.
Do not confuse with: Bubble Gum (the classic indica-leaning Bubblegum strain), Grape Bubba, Bubblegum Breath, Grape Gummiez and Sweet Grape — all different strains.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Grape Bubblegum Indica or Sativa?
Grape Bubblegum is generally classified as a hybrid, and some versions are described as indica-leaning. We carry this batch on our Sativa shelf because its limonene-led, high-terpene profile presents as upbeat and mood-lifting, but expect a balanced experience rather than a racy sativa.
What does Grape Bubblegum taste like?
Sweet grape and citrus on the inhale, a candy-like sweetness through the middle, and a floral, lightly peppery finish. In this batch the citrus-candy brightness comes from 1.28% limonene and the floral, grape-like sweetness from 0.44% linalool.
What is the dominant terpene in this Grape Bubblegum batch?
Limonene at 1.28%, about 36% of the 3.60% total. trans-Caryophyllene (0.52%), β-myrcene (0.48%) and linalool (0.44%) follow.
What are the parents of Grape Bubblegum?
It depends on the version. At least three unrelated cultivars share the name: Phylos Bioscience’s (CakeMints × Platinum GSC) × GelatoGMO, Verano’s GMO × Purple Punch, and Deep Ellum Seed Co.’s Bubblegum × Dallas Grape. This batch’s limonene-and-linalool chemistry most closely matches the Phylos version, but its exact line is undocumented.
Has Grape Bubblegum won any awards?
We found no competition wins for Grape Bubblegum under any version.
How potent is this batch?
27.472% THCa, 24.330% total THC and 28.589% total cannabinoids, with 3.60% total terpenes.
Storage Instructions
Store Grape Bubblegum in an airtight container in a cool, dark, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. With 3.60% terpenes led by limonene, which is one of the more volatile terpenes, this batch has a lot of aroma to lose. Heat, light and air will flatten that bright grape-candy nose faster than anything else. Keep it sealed and cool.
